KY-002 Vibration Switch Sensor Module

The KY-002 Vibration Switch Sensor Module is a compact digital vibration sensor designed to detect mechanical shock, vibration, movement, or impact in electronic systems. The module utilizes a spring-type vibration switch (SW-18010P or equivalent) that changes its electrical contact state whenever vibration or sudden movement is detected. Due to its simple switching mechanism, the module provides a fast digital response without requiring any onboard signal processing circuitry. The sensor operates as a normally open mechanical switch. During vibration or shock, the internal conductive spring momentarily contacts the internal electrode, generating a digital pulse that can be read directly by a microcontroller. Its compact PCB design and standard 3-pin interface make it suitable for Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi, and other embedded platforms. The module features a 3-pin interface, consisting of S (Signal), VCC (+), and GND (-). VCC supplies the operating voltage, GND provides the common ground, and S outputs the digital switching signal generated by the vibration sensor. The module is commonly used in vibration monitoring, anti-theft systems, equipment protection, motion-triggered alarms, robotics, and automation projects.
